The highly anticipated results of the landmark ONTARGET trial programme were presented today by Professor Salim Yusuf (McMaster University, Hamilton, ON), at the 57th Annual Scientific Session of the American College of Cardiology in Chicago, USA.
The results have shown that Pritor/Kinzalmono provides the same level of protection as the current gold standard ramipril in high cardiovascular risk patients, was better tolerated and was associated with higher treatment compliance.
These results represent the culmination over 6 years of research, in 31,546 patients across 40 countries and are a highly positive outcome for patients at high cardiovascular risk.
